Elderberry shrubs are wonderful plants to add to any landscape. They grow very fast and aren’t picky about soil conditions. They’re small purple berries are loaded with antioxidants and posses immune boosting properties. Jams, syrups, and wines can be made out of these berries and they are also good for birds due to their small size. In early summer they produce beautiful white flowers making them a great ornamental shrub as well. The elderberry shrubs we offer are vegetatively propagated clones from good producing cultivars. Elderberry shrubs may produce on their own but it would be best to have two cultivars to cross pollinate.
